Just because people got fed up of eating the boiled egg that looked the same, this was invented and promoted to spruce up your egg visually. It actually created cube shapes out of your boiled eggs but what good is that. It tastes the same.

Dog pliers were invented because of some people wanting to keep dogs as a social status but not wanting to handle them when bathing the dogs or grooming. Dog pliers allowed people to handle dogs without the need for washing their hands.
