The research showed that engineers, chemists, scientists and mathematicians were prone to showing their right cheek to a camera. Artists and psychologists tend to show their lefty side to a camera.

Women were prone to turning their head to the right and displaying their lefty cheek more often. Research showed that the left side of a face is usually regarded as more attractive simply because it is controlled by the brain’s right side which is responsible for emotions.

What selfies meant

She found that people liked taking selfies of themselves from below while some took it from above. Those who had friendly personalities took selfies from above and were not afraid of themselves appearing as funny in a photo. Such people she found were positive to new experiences and demonstrated positive emotions. Those who took selfies from above and made the infamous duck face indicated a neurotic personality.
The glitch here was that scientists were not able to decipher the personalities accurately from the photos because people always tend to look better in photo selfies than in real life not forgetting the photo apps that touch up photos removing facial lines and contours.

In 2013, a study revealing 1,700 face photos which highlighted noses was published in the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery. 14 various shapes of noses were studied and analyzed and connected with different personality types. It showed that ambitious people tend to have large noses where such people also displayed a tendency to be perfectionists.
Scientists found that the tip of the nose if found to be big and meaty, indicated a good investor and financier. A small delicate tip indicated a careless attitude about money and savings.
