Among unusual things that are illegal are Kinder eggs. Don’t you just love those little kinder eggs with a toy inside?? Even your kids love it I’m sure but!! Did you know this is actually illegal even though it is still sold in some places? US regulation bans placing a non food object inside food but allows it only if it is visible. Kinder eggs and candies with toys inside have been banned since 1938. Although it isn’t allowed, if custom authorities find people travelling to the US with kinder eggs, that could incur a fine between $300 - $1,200 an egg.
