Photographer Shoots Photographs of Different Chickens and the Results Are Stunning

If you thought chickens were just chickens, then think again. Matteo Tranchellini a professional photographer has a fascination for chickens and not just the regular poultry type but different breeds. In 2013, he was introduced to an aviary exhibition by a farmer in Milan and what he saw blew his mind. There were all types of chickens that he had never seen in his life. Matteo decided to create his own exhibition of photographs which were yes!! You guessed right, chickens. The result was stunning and mind-blowing. Because till now you may have thought chickens were just white?? Well, take a look!!

1 Golden Seabrite Rooster

Have you ever seen a more majestic rooster than this guy? His color might appear photoshopped but no this is the real thing. Matteo has become so engrossed in Chickens that he has started a Kickstarter campaign to publish his own book on chickens.

2The Chicken Project

Matteo has published the chicken project book along with partner Moreno Monti. What started as a farming exhibition has now turned into a coffee table book featuring the most dazzling beauties like this one.

3A Black Breasted Red Phoenix

Matteo’s book features 190 pages of 85 hi resolutions pictures of avians. The project can also be followed on Instagram where you can get your fill of amazing beautiful birds. You won’t be looking at chickens the way you do anymore.

The most amazing thing about these photographs is that Matteo and Moreno did not use any special lighting and used only the natural light of their studio and the location. The results came out amazing.

The unique thing about Matteo’s project is how the birds seem to be posing and look so regal in every photograph. One can’t help wondering how such exotic birds exist and thanks to Matteo we now know they do.
