Every kid's childhood is somehow associated with an ice cream truck and they would get pretty worked up whenever a truck would pass their neighbourhood. So a dad thought of a foolproof plan to avoid buying ice cream everyone the kids heard the truck passing by. Ice cream trucks usually ring a bell to attract customers. So the dad told his child that the bell actually means that they are out of ice cream.
