Looks-wise Chris Hemsworth is the perfect Thor, but in the comics, he is a grim god and does not have Thor’s MCU sense of humour. His suit too has terrific Norse detailing including an embellished metallic arm, which looks medieval. And of course his winged helmet which fans have always wanted to see on screen but it has mostly been missing.

Thankfully Black Panther’s costume did not go through a lot of changes as the Vibranium remained a very important aspect of his set-up and character. Though his MCU costume has a more metallic sheen.

Vision look entirely different from his character in the Marvel Comics. His suit for instance has a different colour palette and also a totally different vibe. But MCU needed Vision to look less vibrant and more beaten and weary which is where the red and blue colour scheme comes in. The MCU Vision is perhaps what the Marvel creators envisioned but got lost in the yellow and green colours.

Black Widow is the only Avenger who is shaping up to look more and more like her comic book self. The Black Widow solo movie which is coming out might have something to do with it. But Black Widow’s costume has thankfully retained its basic integrity since it was important for the character to look tougher than most. She is the only Avenger who goes to battle without a weapon and the MCU bosses kept in mind that her suit should be a weapon and shield in itself.

Did you know that in Marvel comics Loki wore a bodysuit and actually looked like a cartoon villain. It is much easier to take Loki seriously now that he has a proper suit that is much more manageable and gives him a sense of purpose.
