Iconic English singer, and Dr. Feelgood band member Wilko Johnson had one of the most exciting GOT cameos, which was also his acting debut. He played Ser Ilyn Payne, in an episode of Season 1 and returned for a cameo in Season 2.
“It’s the first time I’ve done any acting, but all I had to do was stare at people. Payne had had his tongue cut out, so I just had to glare at people with menace and swing a sword every now and again,” he said about his role.
“I’d certainly like to go back to Game of Thrones. It was so much fun, and my character is alive, so it’s certainly possible,” Johnson told NME.

Actor and screenwriter Richard E Grant made his cameo in Season 6 Episode 5 of GOT. Grant played an actor called Izembaro, and he essayed the role of the late King Robert Baratheon, in a Braavosi play.
His character was shown receiving a pretty brutal death on-stage. Much like the real King Robert. Interestingly, fans had a hard time recognizing Grant during his on-stage stint, but could only make him out when he went backstage and took off his wig and makeup.

Popular YouTuber Steve Love had a short cameo in GOT and received quite a spectacular death. Interestingly, Steve hit the news for his funny GOT impressions. He appeared in the episode ‘No One’ in Season 6, and played a soldier who had his head brutally cut off by The Hound.
Steve once on appeared on The Jimmy Kimmel Show to perform his GOT impressions, and the episode impressed GOT showrunners so much, that they mailed him a day after the episode aired.
“I broached the subject by sending them an email back saying 'Listen I don't know what your plans are for me but it would really mean a lot to me if I could have one of those trademark Game of Thrones gruesome death scenes, and they wrote back saying 'Actually Steve, that was exactly what we had in mind for you,” Steve had said after his cameo aired on TV.

English actor and comedian Kevin Eldon made two stellar cameos on Game of Thrones. He played an actor in Season 6 and a Gold Cloak Lannister guard in Season 7. But his character had to die in both the appearances.
In Season 6, Eldon played Warden of the North Ned Stark, in a local play’s execution scene, where his head was chopped off, for the sake of the play. Eldon’s character Camello survived. In Season 7, Eldon played a guard who was hammered to death by Gendry.
