A Facebook friend request made a huge difference in the case of Rebecca Luff and Michael Young. Two years back Rebecca decided to accept Michael’s friend request on Facebook. This led to some friendly conversations which graduated to Skype chats online. In December 2015, their relationship became official.
After a year in December 2016, Michael decided to meet Rebecca and so he travelled to Plymouth where they spent 3 weeks together. They even went to Amsterdam for a break. Upon meeting with Michael, Rebecca would recall “When we first started talking, I never thought it would be this serious. Nobody took us seriously for a long time; I think everyone thought it was all a bit bizarre.”
