This sky pool is located in the Market Square Tower’s 42nd floor. It is 500 ft in the air and is built of 8 inch thick Plexiglas. The thrill seekers can pay $18,715 per month for the 2,900 penthouse and use the pool anyhow they use. One resident of the apartment decided to film himself walking 500 ft in air in the pool and uploaded the video on the internet. The pool sticks out 10 feet in the air and is fear inducing to see some one walk in the water at that height. Check out the video in the last page.

The pool was designed by Kudela & Weinheimer Landscape Architects and is the centerpiece of a wraparound rooftop terrace with views of the Houston skyline and Buffalo Bayou Park. They have also designed a second pool at the fourth floor of the building for people who are not that gung-ho about swimming 500 ft in air. The apartment is not open for public and the pool is resident only. The 1,000-room Marriott Marquis Houston opened in December 2016.

4 The experience of the pool

The video has gone viral in few days and shows a person gingerly walking on the floor of the pool. At first he steps out on the floor, checking it with his feet and then slowly walks in the pool and you can clearly see the street and ground underneath the pool clearly. It looks like that he is walking on thin air. For people interested in trying out the pool, prices range from £1,458 ($1,805) a month for a studio to £15,125 ($18,715) for one of the penthouses.
