After cooking our vegetables, we just tend to throw the remaining stalks and pieces away. But did you know those stalks, roots and leaves which are usually discarded and uncooked can be grown again? Some of these can simply sprout back again even if you grow them in a small home garden. Check out the vegetables you can grow again instead of throwing them away.
1 Leafy salads
When consuming those salads, don’t throw the ends of the large leafy greens away, just insert the unused root in soil and place them on a window sill near sunlight and they’ll be sprouting again.

2 Onions
After chopping onions, retain the bottoms and keep them drying for a few days. Then take a small pot full of soil and immerse your onion in it. The soil should cover the bulb. The onion will need to be harvested before using them for consumption.

3 Basil
Among vegetables you can grow again, this is an amazing way to regrow basil. Just strip the leaves of 3/4th of the stem and place it in a glass of water. Roots will start sprouting within a few days.
