Nicole married Australian singer Keith Urban and started a family with him. After her second marriage, Nicole grew more and more apart from her kids as she barely had time for them. Both Nicole and Keith are Australians and whenever they were not working, they would be at home in Australia and Connor and Isabella obviously weren't seeing Nicole at all.

5Never in LA

Nicole has said that she prefers to stay away from LA when she is not working. Keith is a country music singer and has a home in Nashville where he and Nicole set up a residence. Nicole initially switched between New York and Nashville or her home in Australia. She would only go to LA for work. Connor and Isabella, on the other hand, lived their entire lives in LA. But never saw much of their mom as she stayed away from the city.
