But as the world waits with bated breath to see the wedding of Harry and Meghan Markle, people noticed a curious difference between Meghan and Kate's wedding invites. This could be a sign of a potential Royal shade as Meghan is a divorcee and the Royal family has a rather sad history with letting its men marry divorced women. So what's so different about Meghan's wedding card.

1Royal Trailblazer

It is important to note that Meghan is already a rebel in so many ways and she is breaking Royal protocols like a pro. One might notice that she is starkly different from Kate, who was a commoner and is notoriously by-the-book when it comes to following rules. It's evident that Meghan has ruffled quite a few feathers in the Royal family, with her androgynous style to calling the shots in the wedding ceremony. Meghan is clearly here to make an impact.

2Kate's wedding card

William and Kate's wedding was a big deal. Not only is William second in line to the throne but he was marrying a commoner which was great PR for the Royal family. It was only justified that the Queen would make a big deal about it. William and Kate's invitations were elegant in ivory white and most importantly, they were sent out on the Queen's behalf. The card basically said that the Lord Chamberlain is commanded by The Queen to invite so and so to His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton’s wedding. The entire invitation was very serious and official in its tone.

Meghan and Harry's wedding invites were not all that formal. Though they are engraved in white and gold, it has no mention of the Queen and in fact has the same wordings as most commoners' wedding invites. The invitations are sent out on behalf of Harry's father Prince of Wales and just says, 'His Royal Highness Prince of Wales requests the pleasure of the company of...'

4The seal

The seals on both wedding cards are different too and very telling. While William and Kate's wedding invites had the Queen's initials and her crest, Harry and Meghan's invite has the embellished badge of Charles.
