You hear stories about your favourite icon being demanding and hard to work with, but you often pay no heed. People think everyone in Hollywood must have a lot of attitude and nobody is a doormat. But then there are stars who are so out of touch with their fans, co-stars and reality that it is outrageous.

The original ‘Material Girl’ really is a materialistic woman. From biographers to industry experts, everybody has called Madonna ruthless and wildly ambitious. And it has served her well as she does have a 40-year-old career and a legion of fans. But Madonna is famously full of herself. She often doesn't bother to learn the names of her co-stars, makes ridiculous demands on tours and of course, has difficult regulations in place for her staff.

Kanye West is the very embodiment of a diva. In fact, Kanye's work ethic and sense of entitlement is so terrible that he is quickly losing fans. Kanye used to be a terrific rapper and had friends in high places like Jay-Z and Beyonce, but after his marriage to Kim Kardashian, his total persona transformed. Not only does he take himself too seriously, he has a serious Jesus complex. His music also got worse over the years and he is obviously going through an identity crisis. His erratic behaviour wins him no brownie points. Everyone remembers how he snatched a microphone from Taylor Swift at an award ceremony and his reputation has taken a serious hit.

The Girls showrunner is going through a tough time and the last year has been truly harrowing for her. Not only did she break off her six-year-old relationship with Josh Antonoff, she was also slammed by her friends as very snobbish. The fact that she thinks she is better than everyone else only adds to the problem. " I think I'm the voice of my generation," Lena's character in Girls, Hannah Horvath had said once. Chances are Lena actually thinks she is the face of a generation but she really isn't. Her body image issues and fallout with close friends have not helped her either.

Her ridiculous demands and squad rules aside, Ariana was heard slamming her own fans last year. Plus, she does not have a good reputation among her famous friends either as even her friends from Nickelodeon are not on good terms with her anymore. She might be just 24, but Ariana is already after the millions and one look at her Instagram proves our point.

Kristen Stewart has been famously known as a cold and distant celebrity. Though she has often said that she feels overwhelmed by the love of her fans and that she does care about them, she got a bad reputation pretty early on in her career. Though she has a lot of fans, it would help her if she would act in more mainstream Hollywood movies. Plus, she is nowhere to be found on social media and fans find it very hard to relate to her.
