The study finds that a huge number of cancer cases in the United States are caused by preventable factors. Researchers suggested that people should focus on preventable factors to check the rise in a number of cancer cases as well as bring down the number of cases and deaths in the United States.

"Increasing access to preventive health care and awareness about preventive measures should be part of any comprehensive strategy for broad and equitable implementation of interventions to accelerate progress against cancer," researchers said in their study.
