This has ended up being a huge surprise for the parents. Both Maria and her husband Joaquin who is also a farm worker. In 2012 a similar incident took place with twins born a year apart when Katia was born on Dec 31st at 11.40 pm while her sister Bianca was born on January 1st at 12.07 am. The event occurred at Manchester’s St Mary’s hospital when the two girls were born to couple Macarena Urgate and Sebastian Leon. When Bianca arrived, a nurse exclaimed “its seven minutes past midnight. Happy New Year!”

While Amy Elliott was born four months premature on 1st June 2012, her sister Katie was born an incredible 87 days after.
