From Jennifer Aniston to Kristen Stewart, not all Hollywood stars deserve to be where they are now. Not only are some A-listers bad at acting, singing or modelling, but they've made a fortune out of just being good-looking or being a social media celebrity. In fact, nobody calls them out for being mediocre at their jobs or never improving.
So who are the stars who've manipulated the audiences and the showbiz industry?
Jennifer entered Hollywood at a time when there was no one who could get by just being awkward or tomboyish. Everybody was too busy being perfect and Jennifer stood out as a rebel as she did not adhere by rules. She made a statement with her loud mouth and by being the 'cool relatable girl.' But can she really act? She got an Oscar for a solidly mediocre performance in Silver Lining Playbook and once you get an Oscar, nobody really questions your skills. Being good looking obviously helped her star status but Jennifer has sure fooled her audiences.

Sylvester Stallone might be a total superstar and an icon for being so fit in his '60s. But that is most likely his only achievement. He built a great physique and did the Rocky films and got super famous. And nobody really noticed that he is a truly bad actor. And now four decades later he is still a major star getting films but without any real calibre.

Brad Pitt is not a bad actor per se, but he is average at best. With directors like Quentin Tarantino he makes a solid effort and gets by, but by no means does he deserve the huge stardom that he has acquired. Brad came into the industry as the young blonde looker who has a penchant for unusual roles. He got tons of offers and has been a part of two power couples in the last twenty years but he kind of just got superbly lucky.

She has only played the upstart, chic city girl from Friends to every one of her movies. And that's who she is, so she has been incredibly successful owing to her looks and timing in the industry.

Plus she got a million Instagram followers before she had even begun modelling. Many models believe Bella and her sister Gigi both got through into the fashion industry on the steam of their parents who are obviously influential. At least Gigi has stuck to her natural looks, whereas Bella's success seems pretty much bought.

All Kristen Stewart needed for her success was one breakout teen phenomenon and she got it. Post Twilight, there was no stopping her. Though she has never really played conventional characters, she doesn't really have any range. People have often called her expressionless and yet she is not only one of the biggest stars right now but a total fashion icon.

Ashton Kutcher was always more of a comedian than an actor. He made it big with a reality show where he punked celebs and then did some pretty dumb comedies. Then came Two and a Half Men which he could not use to his benefit at all. As a result, Hollywood doesn't really take him seriously anymore and he doesn't get movies.

Will Chris Hemsworth have a career post, Thor? Doesn't look like it. The blonde superstar obviously got his big Hollywood break owing to his excellent looks. And while looks might be enough in modelling, in the last few years Hollywood has been looking for more interesting leading men and six packs just doesn't cut it anymore.

Blake Lively would have made for a great supermodel. She is blonde, skinny and tall, which is the holy trifecta on the runway. But she got her breakthrough role in teen drama Gossip Girl where she just had to look pretty and that’s it. And the world was fooled to think Blake is an actor. But as Gossip Girl ended and Blake started doing movies, it became pretty clear that Blake is many things, like a fashion trailblazer, a showstopper, a good wife and mother, but not a good actor.

Nobody really cared that she was just an average singer. She also got to do some chick flicks which did not work. But JLo mainly got lucky because of her timing.

But it was too late, Watson is a huge name and always stays in the headlines owing to her activism. Plus the Harry Potter franchise is so big, it will benefit Emma all her adult life.

Salma Hayek might be a total bombshell bit she is hardly an actor. She is a sensation in any red carpet and voices concerns for social issues and luckily had enough ways to stay relevant. But as she grows older, she might just run out of roles and people's interest.
