The records are being smashed in Canada as its Okanagan Valley is soon going to become the place with highest snowfall. As per reports, the valley has already received double the amount of snow that it usually gets in a month. On top of it, more snow is in forecast in immediate future.

Meanwhile, in Edmonton, the cold conditions are such that cars are being abandoned after the freezing temperatures causing them serious damages. The cars have been stalled and are facing problems in starting. As per the Canadian Automobile Association, the waiting time for a tow truck was nearly 17 hours last Thursday.

The conditions are such that frostbite warning and extreme weather alerts have already been issued across parts of the United States and Canada. But, there are few people who are having fun in these conditions as well. Researchers at the Mount Washington Observatory in New Hampshire have posted a video on Facebook showing a weather observer pouring hot boiling water from a kettle into the open air. As they pour water into the air, the extreme cold conditions turned the water into snow. The video is shown below:
