In the case of arterial bleeding the blood will flow in pulsating streams having a scarlet red color. To treat this, give pressure on the artery above the wound and apply a tourniquet. Note the time of fixing the tourniquet as it cannot be kept for more than one hour at a room temperature. Try to loosen it in every 30 minutes. Cover the wound with a clean bandage and call the ambulance.

In case you get bitten by an insect, toothpaste can be used as a first-aid treatment. It contains anti-inflammatory particles that reduces the redness and swelling. 8Electric shock

If someone is getting electrocuted, don’t ever try to pull the person using bare hand as it will be a threat to your own life. Quickly unplug the device from which the person is getting electrocuted, then by using a wooden or plastic handle try to drag the person. If there is no danger, don’t touch the person and call the ambulance. But if there is still a danger of electric shock pull the person away as much as 30 ft. from the spot and call the ambulance.

These currents are strong flows of water coming from seashore and takes away everything that comes in their way even the most skillful swimmers. So it is important to know how to face a RIP current. These currents do not usually exceed a limit of 30 ft. so to reach the calm waters swim parallel to these currents. If you’re unable to reach calm water then do not swim against it swim with the flow until you feel that you’re out of danger. Once you get rid of it. Swim diagonally in the direction of the shore, reason being RIP currents circulates back.

10Nosebleeds

It is not advised to keep your heads up during nose bleeding. Bend your head down a little and pinch the bleeding nostril for about 10 to 15 minutes to stop the bleeding. You can also block the bleeding nostril with the help of cotton. But if this bleeding lasts for more then 15-20 minutes then consulting a doctor will be beneficial.
