Flannel Apron
Requirements:
Old flannel shirt.
Rotary cutter.
Scissors
Fabric glue.
Ruler
Method:
Cut off the sleeves of the flannel shirt using the rotary cutter.
Cut along the seams on the side of the shirt to separate the front and the back torso. Cut around the collar but towards the back, so as to remove a section for slipping in the apron over your head. Ensure the collar remains intact.
Fold the remainder of the sides, without the sleeves, using glue to form the definite shape of the apron.
The upper-back section which has been cut off can be used to provide for the strings that fast the apron. Cut off two 2-inch-long strips of fabric from the removed section of the shirt.
Where the shirt reaches your waist, cut two perpendicular and inch-long sections. This is where the strings shall be inserted, folded in, and glued.
The same process can be performed on the other side as well to provide for a pair of knots to fast the apron.
One can obviously make the strings as long as possible to fasten the knot tighter.

Pillow Case
Requirements:
Pillow
T-shirt
Scissors
Fabric marker
Measuring tape
Ruler
Method
:
Measure the length and width of the pillow with the tape.
The t-shirt should obviously be larger in size than the pillow. Using the fabric marker, draw the dimensions of the pillow on the shirt. Add 2 inches gap to both sides and cut out the front and back of the t-shirt.
If the pillow is rectangular or square in shape, it will benefit you to cut a 1 sq. inch section away from each of the corners of the shirt.
Draw 4 dotted lines, 1 inch away from each side of the shirt. The dotted lines should meet at the corners.
Cut ¼ inch strips that are parallel to the side of the shirt. Ensure that you do not cut the strips beyond the dotted lines.
Take the pillow and place the front of the shirt on top, so as to align the almost-finished cover on top of the pillow.
Take strips from the shirt to tie all the four corners to give the pillow cover a frilly look.
