Many sleeping positions can cause us problems, but on the other hand, sometimes, sleeping in a certain position may also help you in getting rid of some health issues as well. Though it depends on individual choices on how you sleep, but here are 7 ailments that can be treated in sleeping in certain positions.

1 Heart Burn

Heart burn is a condition in which the acid in the stomach is thrown back into the esophagus. This makes a person highly uneasy and also causes damage to the food pipe. Also sleeping in the wrong position causes this to happen frequently and can further make a person insomniac and indigestion.

It is better for a person suffering from acid reflux is on an incline, which keeps the acid in the stomach itself. Also try to sleep on your left, to decrease the possibility of heart burn.

2 Neck Pain

Neck pain is a common problem for sleepers with bad sleeping positions. Better to use a proper pillow that supports the shape of the neck. Try to sleep on the sides to relieve the pressure in the neck and pain in the neck won’t be an issue any more. Also roll up a small towel under the neck to support it, if you sleep on your back.
