You can’t blame a police officer for being dedicated to his duty even if he is hoaxed out of his wits. There have been several instances of scamsters calling 911 just for experiencing a cheap thrill. The law should never be trifled with and neither should fake calls be made as it hinders policemen from doing their job elsewhere.
However this turned out to be a different and amusing case altogether. This was no hoax call neither was this any scam of sorts. When Police Lieutenant Jason Short received a 911 distress call he did respond. It was dramatic when this officer saved this baby by smashing open the car window. How relieved he was at the thought of rescuing the baby from a horrible fate. Or did he?
1 Police officer receives 911 informing of a trapped baby
Jason Short, a police lieutenant received the 911 distress call from a hospital car park in New Hampshire. It was a sweltering hot day and the car parked outside was closed and there was a baby inside. People were no doubt horrified as the child could suffocate and die.
When Jason got there, he remarked to WMUR TV, that the child looked lifeless and dead. “I got there as soon as I could,” Short told WMUR. “I don’t know how fast I was going, but it was quick. His quick thinking reflexes acted instantly. The Officer saved the baby by smashing the car window. It seemed unconscious, so he tried reviving it and stuck his finger in its mouth. When he did that he got the shock of his life.
