Hartz now 70 says that it might be a bit difficult for women post 40 to stay in shape but nothing is impossible and if you work at it, you’ll get there. She says that a woman’s metabolism slows down as she gets older which means that once it happens, women need to take more control of their lives and make healthier diet choices. 'I believe it is very important to be aware of the type of food you eat and the quantity of food you eat.” She says you should be mindful while you are eating and “taste and enjoy every mouthful". This helps you to avoid overeating.

She says it is ok to enjoy certain drinks and food that you love but it should always be consumed in moderation. Another important factor for good health is 8 hours sleep every night. Besides sleep. It is also meditation and gratitude which Hartz credits to her fantastic health. She meditates every morning which benefits her the entire day. 'I am so much calmer and intuitive since I have been meditating. I only started meditating at 65 so it is never too late”. She says to start with just 5 minutes a day and gradually work your way upto 20 or 30 minutes of meditation.

At 70, Hartz also plays tennis as part of her fitness routine. The most important piece of advice she wishes to impart to others is that women should never compare themselves to others.

She says ‘be aware of what you like about them and let them inspire you but we are all individuals and we all have our own special traits,’’ She advises people by saying that you should be happy in the success of your friend. You should never be resentful of them as wasted emotions just hurt wellbeing.

On beauty, Caroline Hartz says she never retires without removing her makeup and moisturizing her skin, eyes, and neck. She says sunscreen helps a lot in keeping the sun at bay. She says she is aware of the sun’s damage to skin. She wears sunscreen everyday beneath her makeup.

But, she also feels that young women need to live to the fullest 'Be happy for everyone and never worry about your age,” She says never to listen to negative people and one should always be your own person.  The attitude she says is the most important Asset and though life isn’t perfect, this element of the right attitude should be grabbed as soon as it is recognized. She says to train your mind to see the positive side of life because failure is a stepping stone to success.
