7Frequent and aggressive combing

This is really a non-brainer, the harder and rougher you brush your hair, the more hair you are likely to lose in the process. Don’t brush your hair after a shampoo as your hair is most brittle at this stage and susceptible to massive breakage. Wait till the strands dry up, then with a wide toothed comb start combing the hair starting from the bottom and gradually rising to the roots gently. Try to separate any knots in the hair with fingers first before you comb.

Hair styling gadgets can be found in every lady’s closet, be it curling tongs or hair straighteners. In fact ,the love affair with these thermal products for hair styling dates back to early 19th century. But now the harmful effects are also widely known. These appliances use heat which makes the hair dry and frizzy as well as brittle. If you really need to use them, then invest in some thermal protective solution and spray it along the whole length of hair before using the appliance.

Well, wrong usage of a blow dryer can cause irreparable damage to your hair. There is a systematic way to blow dry your hair which most of the ladies do not know. When buying a hairdryer, choose the models with multiple temperature settings. The correct way is to blot the wet hair with a towel and then begin drying the hair from the roots to the end of the strands and not the other way around. The nozzle should be at a sharp distant angle from the hair strands so as to close the cuticles. Remember to keep decreasing the power as your hair keeps getting dryer in the process ending it with a few blasts of cold air.
