15 Places Where The Dead Roam Freely

Though haunted houses and towns are a reality we don't take them seriously, even though they have been scientifically proved to be creepy. There are places all around the world where people have spotted eerie figures, spirits, and they have even seen people who were thought to be dead, roam around.

You might have heard of places which are truly haunted. In fact some archaeological experts and scientists have found undeniable evidences of spooky spirits and mostly spirit of the dead. So what are some of the places which experience hauntings by the spirits of the dead - where the dead literally come alive?

1Guantanamo Bay

The most dangerous US prison is said to be haunted by the spirits of those who never found any peace. The Bay View Complex of the Guantanamo Bay used to be a part of a military club in the '40s.  People to this day, claim that they see eerie spirits moving around the complex. For instance the apparition of an old woman is often seen on a specific floor. Her spirit sits on a staircase and stares out of a window. Another spirit of a man wearing Khaki trousers is often seen who is said to be a marine who frequented the military club.

2Bristol's Odeon Cinema

In 1946 the young manager of Odeon Cinema named  Robert Parrington Jackson was murdered during a show of the famous film The Light That Failed. His body was discovered the same evening and though a man did confess to his murder, the killing remained unsolved. People claim that even today when there's a show running at the Odeon the temperature level suddenly drops a lot and women audiences have claimed to have seen  Robert's spirit at that time.

3University Of Texas At Brownsville

Perhaps one if the spookiest college campuses in the world. Students at Brownsville have relentlessly complained that they see ghosts. And they are not just random apparitions but these spirits also disrupt their lives. The university dormitories were made on the grounds of an old cemetery and students and some members of the staff have talked about these sightings. For instance a female student revealed that the spirit of a 3-year-old boy visits her room. Students have even reported that they have seen cavalry men walking along corridors in  perfectly formed lines and children, Victorian clothing and people dancing.

4Ballyboley Forest

This Ireland forest might be the most haunted forest of all. Known as an ancient druidic site a lot of people have disappeared within the depths of this jungle never to return. For instance in late 90s two men ventured into the forest when they heard a woman crying out in pain but when they rushed to help her they saw four hooded figures watching them. They also saw the trees were smeared with blood. People have also reported that  they often feel like they are being followed by an invisible entity when they step foot in the forest.
