Recently an alligator was spotted in the Hanahan Lake in South Carolina which became a viral topic and a topic for both worry and amusement for the residents of the community. The point of intrigue was the color of the gator-ORANGE. Yes, as you can see in the photo, the alligator was of orange color and was spotted climbing out of the lake Hanahan. Alligators are not of this color and this almost 5 foot alligator was a subject of question “how in the world, did it turn orange?” The answer came that when the alligators go into hibernation, they dig themselves a hole in the mud and cover themselves. Peter Critchlow, the park manager at the Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary said “The orange color could be due to iron oxide from clay or mud. The alligator must have covered itself with rusty mud.”
However, the gator became a viral topic due to its comparison with someone powerful.
