Girl's Text to Wrong Number, Helped Saving 4 Year Old Boy With Cancer

They say everything happens for a reason and the universe is connected in a way that takes care of each of its elements. The story of how young Kaizler was able to battle a deadly disease with the help of people around the world will reaffirm your faith in this theory. It all started with a random picture message to the wrong number and the person concerned didn’t have to text back but he did and now he has the strength to fight for his kid’s life.

A young student mistakenly sent her picture in a trial room to a father and though he was the wrong recipient he responded back with his children’s photos. The picture went viral and soon, one of his children who is suffering from cancer acquired lot of attention and has been able to raise an astounding amount of money for his treatment all because of social media.

1It all started with…

A young student named Sydney Uselton wanted some advice about what to choose while shopping. She wanted to text a picture of her in a dress, at a trial room to her friend Mandi Miller. But she accidentally sent it to a wrong number.

2Who did she send it to?

Sydney sent the picture of her in a black formal dress to a man named Tony, who is a father of six children. Tony was quite amused to receive the message and he thought of doing something to cheer up the young stranger in spite of the wrong number debacle.

3What Tony did

He gathered his children and clicked their picture in which they were pointing their thumbs up which would send a message to Sydney that she looked great. Tony then sent the picture of the children to Sydney.

4What he said

Tony wrote that he believed the message was intended for someone else and in spite of being sent to the wrong number, it was meant for some closure. And since his wife was not home and his children were, he couldn’t resist a chance to light up young Sydney’s day. He also told Sydney she looked amazing and sent her the thumbs up picture.

5It went viral

Tony also shared the wrong number story with pictures on his social media and it got a resounding success. People from all over the world applauded Tony’s gesture and unanimously agreed that it was very sweet of him to send a picture of his children in response.

Sydney’s friend Miller who she had actually meant to send the text, shared the photos of Tony’s fun gesture on her social media platforms, and it got a lot of footage and people started re-tweeting it like crazy. And amid all these responses Tweeple found something weird.

7Where’s Kaizler?

Twitter users were quick to point out that one of Tony’s kids, his son Kaizler, was not a part of the photo which was shared by Tony. After enquiring about the same people came to know that Kaizler was suffering from Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and had been admitted to the hospital for receiving chemotherapy. In fact Tony’s wife and the mother of his kids was at the hospital the moment the picture was taken.

Kaizler’s story got viral like a wildfire. The four-year-old kid has been fighting Leukaemia for two years now and his family has been trying to raise money for his treatment for a while. After the unrelated viral thread got famous, Kaizler’s story got a lot of attention.

Twitter users discovered a GoFundMe account which has been set up by the child’s family to raise money for his treatment. The family had set up to help pay for Kaizler’s treatment. People of course donated to the cause and consistently shared updates about the case so their friends would donate money for Kaizler’s treatment too.

10How much did they raise?

Thousands of people gave money to the campaign which would help Kaizler. Nearly $3000 dollars were donated to the fundraiser just in the past week. The kid’s family had already raised $10,000 in the past few months. The total amount of the fundraiser stands currently to be around $42,051.

It is astounding what a simple social media post can do and how it can change lives. Up until a few days ago, not a lot of people knew about little Kaizler and now, owing to a simple viral thread he might just be back to his normal self after his treatment.

One of little Kaizler’s family members spoke at GoFundMe and said that Kaizler is a handsome little boy with wavy hair and he is the youngest of six children. He is intelligent and loves playing with toy cars and monster trucks. He also has a great spirit and an infectious smile that can light up a room. He also revealed that though he is usually shy, once he opens up to somebody he is a real talker.
