In school she was called Chewbacca, Wolf Girl, The Freak and other names. She became internationally famous for a bizarre reason becoming “The World’s Hairiest Girl’ in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2010 but if you think that discouraged her in any way , you’re mistaken because Supatra “Natty” Susuphan from Bangkok Thailand has even gone on to get married at the age of 17. And No!! If that image of Chewbacca in a wedding dress just creeped up in your mind (I know it couldn’t be helped), then reboot your brain because she looks cute after shaving off all her Hair.
Yes!! Natty Susuphan has shaved off all her hair just for the sake of her new found love which shows that there is always someone for everyone in this world. Love is a grand thing and one can’t really say that beauty is in the eye of the beholden because when you see how she looks now, she isn’t what you might think. She is just like any other normal girl.

Teenager Supatra once named the hairiest girl in the world has just reveled she married the “Love of her life” at 17 and is now showing off her new look on social media. It is heartwarming actually to see someone like Natty go through a life perceived by society as a freak but now she has proved everyone wrong by looking good because that after all was just excess hair. The only unfortunate thing is that she will have to keep doing this almost every day because of her condition

Susuphan suffers from the condition called hypertrichosis which is excessive hair growth. The condition is caused by a genetic malfunction called Ambras syndrome or more commonly “the werewolf syndrome”

Susuphan the world’s hairiest girl has extremely thick and dense hair growth on her face, ears, arms, legs and back. Regardless of undergoing laser treatment, it was not enough to stop the hair growth. When she was young, she was helpless and wasn’t inclined to remove the hair that grew faster than she could cut it. As a result, her face was always covered in hair.

Now Susuphan shaves her body everyday to get rid of the hair as she has valid reason to do so. She is in love and a newly married bride who has found happiness with her new husband whom she prefers unnamed. She posted a message on social media saying ‘You’re not just my first love; you're the love of my life.

For most women, unwanted body hair can be an alarming issue. It is the same with men too who now prefer clean shaven chests as compared to the hairy chest look of perhaps two decades ago. This is why the cosmetic industry is full of hair removers but in spite of this, hair is a natural growth which we can’t really do without. It serves its purpose as a natural evolutionary cushion against friction and skin abrasion. However some people like Susuphan have been unfortunate to suffer from the genetic condition of Ambras syndrome that ahs their whole body covered in hair.

Susuphan wasn’t really bothered by the remarks like “werewolf’ and “Chewbacca” because she says she always had a lot of friends in school who made her feel special. Speaking to Guinness she said “I don’t feel any different to anyone else, and I’ve got lots of friends at school… Being hairy makes me special.”

However Susuphan has now made up her mind she doesn’t want to look like that anymore and she has had enough of it. This is why the brand new look and she does look sweet too. She is so proud of her look that she has posted several photos of herself and her husband on social media.

She also said “There were a few people who used to tease me and call me monkey face but they don’t do it anymore,” she continued. “I’m very used to this condition. I can’t feel the hair as it has always been like this. I don’t feel anything.”

Susuphan always remained a confident girl who took all the abuse and names in stride. Since she did have her own circle of friends and her family, she felt secure. She was never really phased by her condition but when she met her former husband, it was a different story. She wanted to look good out of love for someone and she did.

Of course she does find the problem difficult to manage sometimes saying “It does sometimes make it difficult to see when it gets long. I hope I will be cured one day.” However, one has to give credit to the girl for being a real stalwart in such a problematic condition. Although she won’t always be the world’s hairiest girl, still we hope science finds a cure for Natty Susuphan one day. We wish her a happy married life.
