One of the things about being in love with your talent and nature is that when you get to do that thing in the presence of nature, you get an internal rush of happiness. This is what we are going to show you today through the eyes of a camera which followed a talented skater while she glided her way through the frozen lake into our hearts. Truly, when we first saw Olympic alternate and three-time bronze medalist Elizabeth Putnam skating on that frozen lake in Canada, we could only think of sharing that amazing video footage with you all.
Elizabeth Putnam is a former competitive skater from Canada, who along with Sean Wirtz has won bronze medals at National and International competitions. She had started to skate when was just 5 years old and later went on to do figure-skating at a professional level before she retired in 2007. But retirement from competitive skating didn’t stop her from pursuing her passion and when she appeared in the video that we are talking about in the year 2015, we could all see how much she enjoys skating even years after retiring.

When we follow our passion to just follow it and not to gain any professional recognition through it, we do it basically for the happiness that it gives to our soul. That is exactly what Putnam intended to do when she decided to skate in the mountains of British Columbia.
At about an elevation of 2,500 meters, Putnam does what none of us can even think of doing. One can only reach the lakes of the area via a helicopter, so basically Putnam makes sure that she is pretty much the only one who could be there on that lake.
The video starts with a helicopter journey and through the camera, we can see how and where the chopper reaches. Once on the lake, Putnam warms herself up a little before starting what can only be described as a mesmerizing performance on the ice. Braving the cold temperature, she not only skated on that lake but also did it so happily that we could only find a passionate figure skater on that vast stretch of ice.
What makes the video all the more interesting is the way the helicopter also dances with Putnam. Pilot Bradley Friesen does an incredible job of moving the helicopter while following every move of Putnam.
The whole scenario of a talented skater, dancing happily on a lake in the backdrop of gorgeous Canadian mountains being shot to perfection by a pilot whose cinematography skills are as amazing as his skills to steer the chopper leaves us speechless, to say the least.

What happened in the previous video did not stop just there, because the collaboration between Putnam and Friesen resulted in yet another adventure which took both of them to a new lake hidden in the mountains. In fact, this lake is a special one because here you can see through it. We can see Friesen telling Putnam in the video that if she looks down the lake, it will crap her out because one can see things right through it; but assures her that all will be well.
Regardless of the conditions of the lake and the freezing temperatures, we can yet again see Putnam putting up her smile while skating and doing everything to bring out the best of her talent for the world to see.

When watching Putnam’s brilliant footwork and moves in these videos, we get to know exactly why we feel tremendously charged up when we get to do what we are best at, and that too at places where no one can expect us to do those things. I mean seriously, you all must have seen figure skaters on an indoor skating rink, but is any of that as breathtaking as this, I doubt it!
Bearing the flag of your country while achieving a feat adds a feather to not only your cap as an athlete but also as a patriot. And with this video, Putnam achieved that as well.
What do you have to say about the works which you just saw? We have been amazed to such levels that we cannot decide what was better; Putnam and her skating prowess, Friesen’s control on the helicopter or nature’s magnificence. Maybe you can help us a bit by telling what you liked the best…
