There are quite a few women in the world who live with the desire of being a mother but never get to be one. Kristen Williams from Cincinnati, Ohio is one such woman who always wanted to be one and her dream soon came true. However, Kristen’s dream came with a challenging situation and she rose to the occasion like any mother would.
This wannabe mom adopted a girl with eaten nose. And as challenging a situation that could be, Kristen instead transformed the girl to look like what she does today. Read on to see how Kristen transformed the life of two little orphans Munni and Roopa the baby with an eaten nose.
When Kristen Williams first thought of international adoption, she turned to Nepal where she paid $ 28000 to an organization; however the US subsequently banned all adoptions from Nepal. That did not deter Kristen from turning to India.
She then turned to India where she surprisingly came across a 5-year-old girl named Munni. The little girl was scarred all over her body and it was apparent she was abused by her caretakers. She had been in an orphanage since 2009. “It was heartbreaking to see how many girls need a loving home in India. But I suddenly felt this pull for this little girl. Her name was Munni and she was just 5 years old at the time. I don’t know what it was but we connected. I just knew she was my daughter”.

Kristen first met Munni in 2012. She persisted with formalities and paperwork till on Valentine’s Day February 14tyh 2013, she became Munni’s mother. “I call her my forever Valentine,” Williams said. “It was such a special day. I was so blessed. She opened my eyes to so much. And I knew I wanted to adopt a little sister or brother for Munni.”
Williams 44 who works as a teacher in Loveland was again notified by her caseworker about a 3-year-old named Durga who had been found abandoned in a bush in Kutch, Gujarat. Insects and small animals had eaten half her nose. That wasn’t an issue with Kristen. She adopted the girl with an eaten nose.

Kristen did not hesitate in completing the formalities till Durga became part of her new family alongwith Munni. According to Allaben Anjaria, Superintendent of the care center in Kutch, Durga was found as a baby with an eaten nose. She weighed only 1 pound 3 ounces and was just 1 day old.
Once Kristen became her mother, she renamed the baby Roopa. She also approached “Doctors” who were moved by her story. Doctor Greg Gion a certified anaplastologist has reassured Kristen that they would perform surgery on both girls free of charge. One year later the transformation is magical and you need to see the video to believe it. Kristin couldn’t be happier and she lives today a happy mother with her two daughters Munni and Durga.
