We think of Pharaoh when we hear an unusual Egyptian name starting with Sa. Indeed, a pharaoh named Sa Nakht of Egypt’s third dynasty did exist in history, yet he wasn’t your average Pharaoh. In fact, Sa Nakht was revealed as ‘Ancient Egypt’s Mysterious Giant Pharaoh.’ Sa-Nakht’s remains may be the oldest known remains of a human giant, according to a new study. Research indicates that he has long been regarded as one of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs.
The reign of Sa-Nakhat, the gigantic Pharaoh, began around 2500 BC. According to legend, he reigned for almost 18 years before marrying Initkawes. During the year 2,650 B.C., he ruled as Jesesemuy’s successor.

After a series of tombs belonging to the Third Dynasty was uncovered near Beit Khallaf in 1901, archaeologists were surprised to find his tomb. Sa Nakht’s tomb, in particular, piqued people’s interest due to its enormous size compared to the others and all other tombs unearthed in antiquity.

Scientists examined his skeleton as part of their ongoing study of mummies. They identified the skeleton’s origin as Sa-Nakhat, a pharaoh of the Third Dynasty. The skeletal frame was remarkable for its length and its unusually tall stature for the period.
Interestingly, prior research on ancient Egyptian mummies revealed that the average height for men around this time was roughly 5’6” (1.7 meters). However, Sa Nakht’s skeleton was documented to be more than 1.90 meters or roughly 6’1”.

The height of Sa-Nakhat is estimated to be 1.90 meters. He might have been regarded as a giant during his time because there had never been someone that tall before. As a result, an extensive investigation was carried out, yet the discovery of the huge Pharaoh is riddled with inconsistencies. For example, the location of his tomb was supposed to be at Abu Rawash and not at Beit Khallaf.
As a result, it cannot be said with certainty that this was indeed the Pharaoh’s original tomb. But the relics found at the site were linked to Sa-Nakhat, the mysterious giant Pharaoh, who was the first ruler of the third dynasty.

Sakhat’s size is one of the many Sa-contradictions. A person’s height is crucial in anthropomorphology since it can indicate the presence of a sickness that results in their being very tall in the first place. The average height of Ancient Egyptians was approximately 1.60 meters due to their nutrition. On the other hand, Sa Nakht’s were incredibly long. At that point, the scientific and anthropometric fascination with the gigantic Pharaoh began.

His entire skeleton, especially his cranial measurements, was examined for any signs of wear and tear. When scientists compared Sa-Nakhat’s measurements to those of ancient Egyptians’ anatomy, they found that Sa Nakht’s size was exceptionally enormous. Since it was so large, Egypt had never seen anything quite like it before. The skeleton’s dimensions were extraordinarily high in comparison to the norm. During further investigation, a potential anomaly in the jaw area was detected. Acromegaly was the most likely outcome, according to the experts.
When the pituitary gland creates more somatropin than is necessary, it results in an overly developed body. Acromegaly Affected areas include the face, head, and hands. Organ malfunction may occur as a result of it.

Sa-Nakhat’s physique was perfectly proportional to the length of his limbs, except for his jaw. He had a well-toned physique and a good sense of posture. How far back in time can we trace the ancestry of Sa-Nakhat? No evidence of malformations in Sa’s childhood or maturity has been found, further complicating matters for doctors.
DNA testing will be done on the ruler’s remains in the near future, but the investigation of his remains is still ongoing. Whether he had acromegaly or was of “natural origin” would be determined by this. Experts said the test would be “extremely challenging” because the genetic analysis requires DNA in perfect condition.

Another group of archaeologists and historians has put out alternative theories that are not usually recognized in mainstream archaeology. According to Christian tradition and apocryphal literature, Sa-Nakhat may be linked to the ancient Nephilim recorded in the Bible, which the Christian church officially rejects.
The Nephilim have been mentioned in one of the ancient manuscripts, the Book of Enoch, which shows angels, fallen angels, and giants in a wholly new light. Nephilim was born when an angelic order known as the “Watchers” had relationships with human women. The Bible describes this relationship in great detail. The Nephilim were gigantic beings that were both human and angel.

Before being wiped off by the Great Flood, these giants plagued the earth for thousands of years. Documents from several ancient cultures, on the other hand, mention the survival of some of these Nephilim.
It is possible that these ancient creatures are related to Sa-Nakhat somehow. Nephilim ancestors may have taken control of Egypt, but popular belief and archaeology don’t like the idea. Thus, the truth is likely to remain buried.

It seems likely that Egyptian royalty was well-fed and well-cared for; thus, they could’ve grown taller than the rest of the population. Experts’ analysis of Sa-Nakhat’s 6-feet skeletal remains has dwarfed the tallest recorded ancient Egyptian pharaohs like Ramesses II, who ruled more than 1,000 years after Sa-Nakhat and was only around 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 meters) tall.
When someone has this condition, they may experience symptoms on their face, head, arms, and legs. But since Sa-Nakht’s face was not affected at all, it is difficult to deduce whether he had any minor or severe illnesses. Hence, it is still unclear whether the mysterious giant Pharaoh was sick or connected to biblical monsters like Nephilim or the huge progeny of angels and earth’s female inhabitants.
