Although we love to see the world in full order and expect it to be most beautiful of places, there are instances which put the humanity to shame. We often yearn to see the world full of beauty and hope. It is also that there is no dearth of good people who extend helping hand to others, exchange smiles with others, inspire others and expect nothing in return. But, this world is also full of people who indulge in corrupt activities like murder, cheat, steal, treachery and many others. The crimes are all around us. There was a secret cartel of doctors, nurses, nuns, and priests who used to steal the newly born babies from their parents in hospitals and later used to sell them to the adoptions. As a matter of fact, there were almost 3,00,000 newly born babies were stolen between 1939 to 1989. They used to tell the parents that their child died during labor or just after the birth.

It was between 1965 and 1972, the American Intelligence Agency, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), implemented a program called the Phoenix during Vietnam War. The CAI used to infiltrate, capture, interrogate and assassinate people. They were also involved in counter-terrorism activities. The whole operation caused the deaths of 26,000 to 41,000 people.

A secret program of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), COINTELPRO, was executed between 1956 and 1971 in the US. During this program, FBI used to carry out string of illegal acts including surveillance, infiltration, and assassination. The FBI was also involved in discredit of many political organizations including Communists, Socialists, Black Nationalists, and Civil Rights Movements.

If the reports are to be believed then the US military had plotted false flag terror operation on its own soil. There was a plan to stage the terror attack on US citizens and hold Cuba as the mastermind of the attack. As they wanted to go into the war against Cuba, they proposed this kind of attack. The operation was called Operation Northwoods.

It was 1970 when US President Richard Nixon issued directions for the secret bombing in Cambodia. The operation caused deaths of almost 1,00,000 Cambodian people. The operation continued till 1973. The bombings were executed in order to eliminate Viet Cong troops.

There was a trend earlier when watches used to have radium placed in it as it helped to see the time in dark as well. Many of female factory workers were employed for painting clocks and watches with luminous, radium paint. The female workers were advised to hold the brushed with their lips while giving the painting a good shape. The female factory workers were told that radium was harmless. But, they contracted radiation poisoning as a result. It happened between 1917 and 1926.

There were negative reports about Native American women that they used to torture white men. People started to think that these Native American women that they are unfit to produce a child. The US government took steps and between 1,00,000 and 1,50,000 Native American women were sterilized. If the reports are to be believed, almost 3,400 to 70,000 women were forced into sterilization. This happened in 1970s.

When we all talk about the welfare of mentally disabled children, we should also do our bit towards them and make them as comfortable as possible. But, a heinous incident happened in US between 1956 and 1970. The doctors used hepatitis on the mentally challenged students at the Willowbrook State School in New York. They did so to get an idea about the development of the infection.

There was a heinous incident in Mexico in 1968 when the Mexican government placed snipers in front of the students who were protesting at a building. The sniper soldiers, who were deployed there, thought that students have begun shooting at them. As a result, they opened fire on the students. More than 300 students were shot dead in the incident.
