6Birth of twin tortoises

The frequency of humans giving birth to twins is very less but a tortoise giving birth to twins is completely unexpected. This happened in a conservatory Garden State Tortoise, New Jersey, on 12th October 2015. It was found that a Western Hermann’s tortoise (T. h. hermanni) was having problems in coming out of its shell. The human intervention revealed that the egg contained twins and the larger of the two was trying to break out.

7Mount Owen Claw

Almost three decades ago, a big dinosaur like claw was discovered by a group of archaeologists who were carrying out research on Mount Owen, New Zealand, in a large cave. What was totally unexpected was the condition of the claw; it was still fleshy and had skin as if it belongs to a bird which died recently. However in reality, it was 3,300 years old well-preserved remains of a bird upland moa (Megalapteryxdidinus) which got extinct centuries ago.

8UFO shaped carved discs found in Volgograd, Russia

More than a dozen stone discs were discovered by a team in Volgograd, Russia. As per the team, the discs contain metal known as tungsten which is highly used in military applications. Usually, all the discs were within the range of one meter in diameter but one of them was about two meters in diameter. While some claim that it is the work of aliens, the archaeologists claim that these discs are man-made.

10100 million years old dinosaur bones found by a child of 4 years

Wiley, a 4-year old boy from Mansfield discovered dinosaur bones around 100 million years while he was searching for a fossil. Wiley’s father Tim Brys is a Dallas zookeeper and the father-son duo like to go on a fossil hunt on a regular basis. Now these bones are in Southern Methodist University, Dallas for further research. As per the experts, the bones belong to the group of dinosaurs known as Nodosaur.
