It was clearly visible that the whale had started to feel much better. When the rescuers had first noticed the whale, her breathing was very heavy and fast. And as she was being covered by the blankets she seemed to relax. Meuter recalled the moment and said, “I think she knew that we were there to help her.” You may be wondering that couldn’t the rescuers tie a rope around the whale and just drag her to the sea. But if this step had been taken then the whale could have been seriously injured because the whale was stuck on some sharp rocks. So, the only option left with the rescue team was that they calmed her down by constantly covering her up in wet blankets and pouring buckets of seawater. This was to be done till the tide rose to a level that the whale could swim back to the sea.

The team of volunteers worked tirelessly for around 8 hours before the tide was high enough. And when finally the sea level rose to cover the rocks, the whale made her way into the sea. The sight of the whale swimming back to the sea gave much relief to the team of volunteers who had diligently worked to help that sea mammal survive. In fact, it was noticed that her pod was actually waiting for her out in the sea in some distance and some of the rescuers said that they could feel the whales communicating with each other. This entire incident was filmed on camera and we have for you the video which shows how some kind-hearted humans gave their precious time and energy so that a whale could see another day in life. These people surely made us believe in the existence of humanity all over again. If you too think that we the humans and animals should happily co-exist on this planet, then do share this story with your loved ones.
