In order to show his frustration over his kid’s common core math curriculum, Doug used a unique approach. He wrote a donation check to the Melridge Elementary School using common core math and asked them to figure the amount themselves. In place of the dollar amount, he utilized cryptic series of “O’s” and “X’s” accompanied by eight boxes with more “O’s” to indicate the exact amount of the check. Though, he did not put the check in for transfer and basically just posted it on Facebook. This definitely gave him viral fame, as since his posting of the check, it has been shared more than 27,000 times.
