3 The technique

Holographic hair is characterized b its multidimensional hues where strands of hair look opalescent and appear to be color changing on the wearer. According to Redken Colorist Chiala Marvici of the Modern Salon, the technique is derived by a process called hand pressed coloring. It uses screen printing methods and incorporates it into your locks of hair. The stylist first paints a variety of patterns on a Plexiglas sheet with different dyes. A section of the hair is then placed on the Plexiglas which transfers the colors on to hair.

The process sis repeated to achieve the desired intensity with either the same section of hair or across the entire strands of hair.

4 Holographic hairstyling gives a stylist greater control

Holographic hairstyling techniques enable greater control for a stylist over hair coloring. It is even better than most applications such as bayalage and foil. The only issue is for holographic hairstyling to have the desired effect; the wearer needs to have blond, gray or light colored hair.
