Is there a person on this planet that haven’t have thought about time traveling at least once in their life time? Don’t we all wish it was real so we can go back and fix things up, tell our loved ones that are no longer here that we love them and cherish them, or go forward in the future and see what it holds for us?
It seems that the biggest wish of humanity is not possible only in the books or in the movies. For now, officially we are only moving forward in time, with no actual time machines or any other devices that could help us go back or forth whenever we please.
But no matter how impossible or crazy it sounds, there are proofs that can make you think twice about this.
Look carefully at this photo; what do you see? People gathered for the event, dressed smart, in suits, coats and hats, and there are a few old cars (old for us, from this point of view). But if you take a closer look, you will notice a man on the right, wearing sunglasses, a t-shirt with a print on it and semi-zipped hoodie. He is holding something in his hands too, but it’s hard to see what it is. Could it be a remote, a phone or a camera? He seems a little too modern dressed for the 40s, don’t you think?

You have probably seen old portraits of men and women who incredibly resemble some of the most famous actors and actresses of today. Is it just a coincidence or something else?

This was a hot topic for a long time and people were trying to prove that this was a hoax and that there is no way a Swiss watch could be found in a tomb of the Ming Dynasty (ruling dynasty in China from 1368 to 1644). The story of the archeologists seems incredible; they claimed that this was an old model of a wrist watch (at least 100 years old) and that it was sealed in the tomb for 4 centuries.

What we see here is a lady who is holding something near her ear. This photo is from a video from an actual footage from behind the scenes of a Charlie Chaplin’s film made in 1928. Is it really a cell phone? You decide.

The icon of the fifties and sixties died young after taking a lethal dose of barbiturates. She seems to be the object of photographing of this girl who takes a picture of her with a camera. Back in the days when Monroe was young and famous, cameras were around, in fact, it was no big deal for people to own it, but this one seems a little too modern for the fifties or sixties. Seems like a small digital camera or maybe even a cell phone.

If you are seeing this picture from today’s aspect nothing seems weird, except for the fact that it was the beginning of the 60s and that cell phones (with cameras at least) were not around in the next thirty years.

Big old paintings surely require attention and observation, and if you simply pass by “Man Handing a Letter to a Woman in the Entrance Hall of a House” and give it a quick glance you won’t notice that the little object in the hands of the woman that is standing is not a letter, but something that resembles a lot like a modern Smartphone. The painting was painted by Pieter de Hooch in 1670.
