The no partying rule was strictly implemented by the Obamas. In fact, once Malia was reportedly ushered out of a party by the Secret Service. The Obamas have often stated that they don't like their children partying hard and while Malia is off to Harvard now and is free of most restrictions, Sasha is still very much under parental control. And for a 16-year-old a ban on partying can be quite a sad thing.

Apparently, even after the Obamas left the white house there are some restrictions on the Obama kids. For instance, they possibly still can't make public appearances just with their friends or boyfriends but must be accompanied by their parents at all times. Which means no red carpets or fashion shows which they must be invited to all the time, given their connections.

Holidays especially spring breaks and summer breaks are important as they help the kids to be away from the classroom where they can just enjoy themselves and are usually not pressured with a lot of homework. But apparently, Michelle would make her kids do classroom homework during their holidays which would affect their breaks. Did you know that Malia and Sasha had to go for mandatory camps for summers and when they returned they would have to write about it? In fact, they would even have to write reports about their international trips and vacations.
