Given the fact that women bear the entire physical burned of pregnancy and childbirth but for a man, who loves his wife, the time is harrowing no less and the wait agonizing till that little boy or gal is in your arms. When his man rushes to the hospital, he didn’t realize the shock in store for him. Unfortunately for Paul Servat, this wasn’t to be so. If you read his story you will be shocked and angry too.
Paul Servat’s happiest moment was totally destroyed not by a cruel twist of fate but by the cruel actions of his girlfriend. Paul Servat had been in a relationship with Barbara Bienvenue for just two months when she told him that she was pregnant. This was in September 2013. Paul believed it because that’s what you do when the woman you love tells you she’s expecting your child and in this case it was quintuplets. He had no reason to doubt the truth.

Only later Paul realized how peculiar his girlfriend had behaved during the pregnancy; however, in the first stages, he was too happy to realize he was being conned. He was going to be the father of quintuplets and felt he had a lot of work to do.

The biggest hint that something was amiss which Paul should have realized was the constant change in the number of babies Bienvenue was expecting. First, it was just one. Later she informed him that she was expecting twins. As her so-called pregnancy continued, it became triplets. By some celestial or divine intervention, she suddenly found out that more and more babies were growing inside her till it reached quintuplets.
The incredibly rare phenomenon made Paul ecstatic rather than suspicious. How was it possible for a woman to keep finding out how many kids she was about to have right up to the last stage of pregnancy.

Paul instead focused his worry on something else. He was so sure he was having quintuplets that he began worrying about financial support. He wanted to give his babies the best possible life they deserved. Servat 35 then established a Facebook funding page to solicit donations from the community, local charities and stores.

Paul got a favorable response from the community who started donating essentials to the happy couple like baby supplies, clothes, baby furniture and other things a couple would need for their babies. Bienvenue also asked him to choose the baby names and as you can see, he was really into preparing his babies nursery in Montreal Canada complete with baby cots.
“We were so happy,” remarked Paul and he of course had every right to be so. No one should ever have to bear what Paul was about to face. The worst joke of his life.

A friend of the couple Genevieve Laflamme in an interview to CTV remarked how she got suspicious when seeing the baby bump on the woman. She herself had triplets and she felt that the bump wasn’t big enough to accommodate quintuplets.
“‘I gave her tips on how to handle it, where to get financial support, where to get sponsors for diapers,”. Genevieve remarked that she noticed several flaws in the pregnancy story.

One of the main issues Genevieve pointed out was that how could doctors tell Bienvenue a week before her due date that she was carrying five babies rather than four. It should have shown up on the USG (ultrasound much earlier).
The only problem was that while many friends and family slowly started growing suspicious of Bienvenue, Servat was too blinded with the happiness of his expectant babies to notice he was being scammed. He prepared for the main event and even took several pregnancy pictures of Bienvenue. Tragically even his parents were clueless of the façade. Servat later remarked, “They were so looking forward to having grandchildren.”

When the supposed day came for Bienvenue to go into labor, well! She actually did and Servat rushed her to the hospital. Later doctors confronted Servat with news that was definitely a bombshell to him. It was shocking and devastating for Servat to hear that there were no babies. He wasn’t going to be a father because Bienvenue WASN’T PREGNANT!!
Can you imagine that?? This woman went through a whole 9 months conning her partner into believing she was pregnant. How deplorable can anyone get? The doctors told Servat it was a phantom pregnancy and there he was eagerly preparing the last 34 weeks to become a father to quintuplets.

If you think that was the only heartbreaking news for Servat, there was more to come. An earlier boyfriend of Bienvenue hearing about the incident came forward to claim that he too had been a victim of the same woman who also faked a similar pregnancy when she was with him. Why was she doing it????
A relative revealed to the SUN news in Toronto that this wasn’t the first time Bienvenue had faked a pregnancy. “But honestly, we never would have thought she was sick enough to do it again. She cut ties with us in recent months. She didn’t want us to know about her game.”

If that’s not all, she also faked leukemia at one time. Bienvenue was soon placed under psychological observation when doctors were told that the woman had faked a pregnancy a second time. It was her relative who revealed the truth saying that if she wasn’t stopped, she would continue doing it.

As for Paul Servat, it isn’t hard to imagine how heartbroken he was from the whole incident. A friend who was interviewed about the incident said that Servat kept crying the whole time and he was confused about the entire incident. Even Bienvenue’s relative remarked, “He doesn’t deserve to live with this.”
Servat later told all those who had donated stuff and money that he would return everything. “I’ll return all these things to people who sent them or give them [away],” he said. “I’m a good person and I have nothing to do with these lies.”

It was heartbreaking to read how this man rushes to hospital happily expecting to be a father when his dreams were shattered by a scheming partner. All one can hope is that Servat gets over this traumatic incident and finally meets a woman who will give him the opportunity to become a doting father. As for Bienvenue, no could seriously care less.
