13Women Speak More Quickly

As the saying goes women 'talk nineteen to the dozen', and there is some truth in it. Research though causing a bit of controversy found that women have the tendency to speak faster than men especially in social circumstances. This is because oestrogen increases verbal fluency and testosterone decreases it.

Moreover, the major areas of the brain that are related to speech in the prefrontal cortex (part of brain governing social interaction)  was found to be larger in women than in men by 23% as declared in the open Anatomy journal.

The research concluded it was the hormonal differences between men and women that made women weep longer.

16Women are more sensitive to pain

This isn’t entirely among unusual facts women don’t know about their bodies, this also has nothing to do with the ability to tolerate pain which is still matter of scientific debate. A study found that women experience pain more intensely than men because of having more nerve receptors than men. The study which was one of the largest found that across a number of diseases women felt more pain than men. As for the ability to tolerate pain, there is a mixed opinion where some studies feel women tolerate pain better while new research feels vice versa.

But on a different note regardless of whether who tolerates pain better, men have much to be thankful for the fact that evolution has not given them the experience of two of the most naturally occurring painful moments in a humans life and that is painful menstruation and childbirth. For this women need to be given their due and respect in bearing up such pain.
