So without further ado, here are 16 unusual facts women don’t know about their bodies

The average woman’s heart weighs 8 ounces in comparison to the average man whose heart weighs 10 ounces. A woman’s heart beats faster to makes up for the small size. Whereas a man’s average heart rate is 70-72 beats a minute, a woman’s is 78-82 beats a minute.

Moreover according to a Canadian study, a woman’s circadian rhythm runs between 1.7 and 2.3 hours which is ahead of a man. This also means women usually feel tired earlier in the evening than men. The study was published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

2Women digest food slower than men

According to gastroenterologists, food passes through the digestive system of a woman at a slower rate 1/5th than that of a man. Women have smaller stomachs and hence less stomach acid is produced to break down food. According to research by the American Clinical and Climatological Association, the slow digestive rate is also linked to oestrogen the female hormone that relaxes the colon and bowel.

Oestrogen also changes the composition of digestive bile produced by the gall bladder and thus contains less food dissolving salts. As per Dr Anton Manuel, a gastroenterologist at University College Hospital, London, The rate of the movement of food through the gut in women is slower by 20% which is also why women have fewer bowel movements than men. You can tell your man now that science also proves how men are so full of shit than women.

Yes!! Women burn fat slower by 50kcal a day in comparison to men. Women have 8 to 10% more body fat than men whose resting metabolic rate is 10% higher than women. The reason for this difference is because men have metabolically more active muscle and because of lean body mass, men burn 20% calories more at rest. 16Women are more sensitive to pain

This isn’t entirely among unusual facts women don’t know about their bodies, this also has nothing to do with the ability to tolerate pain which is still matter of scientific debate. A study found that women experience pain more intensely than men because of having more nerve receptors than men. The study which was one of the largest found that across a number of diseases women felt more pain than men. As for the ability to tolerate pain, there is a mixed opinion where some studies feel women tolerate pain better while new research feels vice versa.

But on a different note regardless of whether who tolerates pain better, men have much to be thankful for the fact that evolution has not given them the experience of two of the most naturally occurring painful moments in a humans life and that is painful menstruation and childbirth. For this women need to be given their due and respect in bearing up such pain.
