Google Earth is a crazy but awesome application that allows us to spot just about anything on Earth and while it is used by people for various purposes, sometimes, unexpected things crop up that shock and awe researchers like these 25 dreadful Google Earth images that might shock you and find them hard to believe.
While volcanoes have been studied by geologists, none have yielded really close up photographs of what goes on inside. This is the Ambrym volcano considered one of Vanuatu’s most active volcanoes that can be seen on Google Earth. The volcano with a 12 meter caldera contains lava lakes like the one in the image and if ever it erupts, you could be sure of capturing the eruption on Google Earth.

In 2012, the Costa Concordia ship was carrying around 4500 passengers when it hit a rock off the coast of Tuscany’s Isla Del Gioglio. The accident killed 32 people and capsized the ship in shallow water. It was Italy’s worst maritime disaster since World War II. Today the 144,500 tone ship is being slowly taken apart by scavengers and workers grabbing anything they get.

Regardless of how much the country denies, Google Earth does not. Yodok is North Korea’s most famous labor camp where prisoners of all age and social levels are sent here to do manual labor as part of their sentences.

Well, although we don’t like bringing it up and may all those who lost their lives rest in peace, that deplorable and dastardly terrorist attack was captured on Google Earth as well. You can see smoke billowing from the twin towers of the trade center.

No this isn’t a picture of some German Nazi HQ as you may have thought. It is an image captured by Google Earth of the US Navy building in California constructed in 1967. One wonders as to the credentials of the architect r his social leanings as it is hard to believe the claim put forward that the builders did not realize what shape it would take after construction. Didn’t the man realize the swastika shape on the blueprint in the first place?

If you stumble upon the Google Earth images of the pyramids at the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza, you will come across this alien-like woman walking by. Perhaps it could have also been a distorted image of a woman but all the same those deer type animal legs and face are creepy.

This is enough to give anyone the creeps as it depicts a pentagram etched into the Earth in a field in Kazakhstan, Central Asia. If you zoom into the pentagram you will see two paces highlighted by earlier visitors where one spot is marked Adam and the other spot is marked Lucifer. One archaeologist remarked it was the outline of a park, but who in their right mind would construct the boundary of a park in the shape of a pentagram.

That’s a mouthful and while it doesn’t qualify as a creepy Google Earth image, it sure is strange. This is a crater lake on an island that is named Volcano Island which is also located in a lake called Lake Taal in Luzon Island, Philippines.

These ancient wheels found marked into the Earth’s surface at Jordan’s Azraq oasis seems to be positioned in accurate alignment with sunrise during the winter solstice. Geologists have dated them back 8,500 years ago and assume they were made by wise men of those times.

This is an image of the Davis Monthan Air Force Base located in Tucson Ariz. This is a strange sight dubbed the airplane graveyard where planes that aren’t fit for use are sent to be discarded. Built over a large area of 2,600 acres. The vicinity contains almost every plane flown from World War II to present date. You’ll find F-14 tomcats, B-52 flying fortresses, mustangs among others including civil aircraft.

This is the S.S. Jassim which was a cargo ferry operating from Bolivia. It ran aground on Wingate Reef of the Sudanese coast and capsized. It is now regarded as one of the largest shipwrecks that you can find visible from Google Earth.

This is how Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming looks like from Google Earth. The lake in the center is the Yellowstone Lake which is 7,732 feet above sea level and covers an area of 136 sq miles.

This sculpture was made by Jimmy Boyle in 1976. Boyle was an inmate in prison and arranged for the sculpture as a joint effort by unemployed people and their kids at Hunters Hall Park in Craigmillar Scotland. The sculpture was intended to resemble Gulliver but it looks more like a doll.

Well, nothing hides from Google and this is one unfortunate picture that shows a woman giving birth outside a hospital on the sidewalk. Hope her baby is doing fine. In all probability, she reached the hospital too late.

We thought of putting this here as this was one of the most famous Google Earth Images n the net. This is known as the Badlands Guardian and is a picture of an eroded valley. The topography appears to look like a native Indian with ear pods in his ear. What seems like wires is actually a road with a oil rig at the end.

Believe it or not but this building is actually the Christian Science Society of Dixon Illinois. Wonder if the architect ever showed the designs to the people concerned or was this idea of a joke. It looks weird though.

This is a dangerous image captured of a baby crawling out of a Gucci Store. It seems the parents aren’t aware of what’s going on and if the cameral stayed long enough, undoubtedly we would have seen some screaming mother or parents running to and fro looking for a lost baby.

Look closely on the left and you’ll see the sentence “come down and play”! Whoever wrote that definitely knew that someone or the other may be looking through a camera or on Google Earth, hence the eerie message.

Now while this image of the bird people looks very creepy, it actually isn’t so in reality. This is actually a group of people wearing pigeon masks in Japan. The area is the Tamagawa Josuwi sidewalk in Tokyo.

This is an image of Google earth of the town of New Baltimore New York. It may be corrupted files of Google or a Google glitch. Whatever it is, it certainly looks creepy and a portal to hell.

Did you notice what the creepy factor here is? It’s the same man. Now that looks like some heavy matrix shit because there is no glitches or blurs suggesting movement of the man. Some feel it’s an artwork, but then what’s it doing on Google maps.
