13Incident in a Ghost Land

This is an absolute brutal portrayal of a terror true to Stephen King style genre. Writer/director Pascal Laugier famous for his 2008 disturbing movie The Martyrs has taken on the helms of this movie as well. Starring Mylene Farmer, who is a famous French musician, but is caught in a horrifying experiencing of murderous intrusion in her house and she somehow has to survive along with her 2 daughters. Sixteen years later, when the family reunites at the house, strange things start happening again. The film co-stars Taylor Hickson and Emilia Jones as the younger version of the 2 sisters. Release date April 2018.

14Something in the Dark

After all, the traditional horror premises here comes a tech-based horror story in which a blind woman has her sights restored by a pair of high-tech glasses, which allows her to see anything! Further complicating the case for her is the fact that the glass makes no distinction between natural or supernatural forms as gradually the lurking entities start aiming for her.

According to the promotional site the movie might be silent one or with very limited dialogues which would create a more involving and creepy experience keeping the first person viewpoint at the focus. Director Steven Aguilera has a created super scary trailer already and it would be no surprise if this one is a smash hit. Release date, 15th October 2018.

15Halloween

Although recently remakes or reboots of classic horror movies have all bombed majorly but this one might be a saver because of the fantastic plot itself, which according to the original creator Carpenter himself is simply awesome! In fact, this won’t be a remake but a sequel to the first story, which would be continued in a much-grounded manner.

Laurie has a final confrontation with the masked figure Michael Myers who has haunted her since the first Halloween night 40 years ago. Release date 19th October 2018.

16Overlord

Talk about “talent pooling” well, among horror movies of 2018,  this movie has it all. This is a World War II-set horror flick coming from J.J Abrams Bad Robot Company. Directed by Julius Avery and scripted by Billy Ray the movie has a very catchy plot line. Set on the eve of the D Day, a group of American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out crucial missions for successful invasion but as they approach this small Nazi-occupied village they realize they have more than Germans to fear from! Release date 26th October 2018.
