Some celebrities were a big deal in their era who have suddenly disappeared and possibly will never be seen. It’s not even easy for celebrities to recover from career failure as it makes their reputation bad. Celebrities like  Dave Chappelle, Tara Reid, Bill Cosby and others have failed to succeed and probably will never be seen making a comeback. Fame is a very fickle thing. Most of them become the talk of the time but only for a short period of time and then become distinct memory. Here, we have a list of 10 celebrities that were expected to become lot more famous but deluded in failure and disappeared.

1Val Kilmer

The ’80s was Hollywood heaven for Val Kilmer. His looks and acting landed him in major roles that made him famous worldwide. He was reportedly a demanding actor and become more famous for his behind the scene activities where he is known to have had fight with nearly everyone in the set. His wild interviews further spoiled his image. At the end, his career got spoiled uncontrollably.

2Dave Chappelle

One of the most successful comedians in recent times Dave Chappelle, suddenly went out of spotlight. From standup to movies, he used to write his own comedy show and become quite famous. He decided to walk away from spotlight on his own for some reasons. He tried coming back and his fans still love him, but it’s just not happening for him.

3Tara Reid

Decades ago, Tara Reid was a girl more famous than anyone. Movies like “American Pie,” “Josie and the Pussycats’ and “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder” made her rise to fame. But her life was slowly on a decline due to her partying ways and changes she tried to do to her body. Now it looks like she has been trying to make a comeback through reality television, with the show Marriage Boot Camp.  She also got lucky being in the campy television movie franchise, Sharknado. Although the series has been successful, it looks like makers no longer want the actress to be a part of it. She eventually never was able to make a successful comeback.

4Edward Furlong

As a teen star, Edward Furlong had a huge group of followers who are now wondering what happened to him. The 39-year-old became an instant star after landing the iconic role of young John Connor in Terminator 2 back in 1991.He was accused of domestic violence and landed in mental facility in Los Angeles. He tried to make a comeback in many projects but failed miserably.

5Mischa Barton

The popular 2003 Fox series ‘The O.C.’ made Mischa Barton rise to fame. Her role as Marissa Cooper stuck with viewers, despite many detractors only thinking of her as a talentless pretty girl. She was the talk of the show with huge fan following eventually to be killed off the show due to her rude behaviour in the sets. In 2009, she was reportedly confined in the psychiatric ward for “suicidal actions.” She never came back.

6Charlie Sheen

Despite being good looking and decent acting skills that made him a household name, Charlie Sheen couldn’t come close to being a superstar. The Hollywood bad boy’s timeline with trouble includes violent altercations with ex-girlfriends, ex-wives and tax evasion trial has seen him land in jail multiple times. While on the hit show Two and A Half Men in 2010 where he was earning millions, Charlie voluntarily checked into rehab. After all that happening, he is definitely not into making a comeback.

7Chris Klein

Back when he was in “Election” and the “American Pie” movies, Chris Klein was a big shot however, after “Rollerball” fizzled and he entered into his mid –twenties and things slowed down for Klein. After two DUIs, things have definitely come to a standstill. With only a recurring role on the television show “Wilfred,” Klein is most certainly gone for good.

Modelling world is all about beauty and glam but models are not angelic on inside as they are to the outer world. So is Naomi Campbell. Her reputation was crushed when she was known for her violent temper, kicking and punching maids and photographers which spoiled it even more. Despite her substance addiction, the 47-year-old model is still around with a few industry projects here and there. But despite attempts, Naomi was unable to bounce back and fix her reputation as a real supermodel icon.

9Ja Rule

If you were a hip-hop fan during the early 2000s, you’ve definitely heard more than a few Ja Rule songs. He was one of the most popular artists in those times. However, when 50 Cent gained mainstream success in 2003, he made it a point ruin Ja Rule’s career.  After coming under attack by Fif, it quickly became clear that Ja Rule didn’t stand a chance.  He’s attempted to release some new tracks over the last few years, but sadly things have never panned out for him, and it’s not looking like they ever will.

10Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby would have gone down in history as one of the greatest and most influential stand-up comedians. But, the damaging revelations over the last few years brought the comedian down, and he went from famous to infamous. He is best known for starring in the ground-breaking sitcom The Cosby Show in the 80’s. Starting in 2014, roughly 60 women came forward accusing Cosby of drugging them and making unwanted advances while they were unconscious. Cosby denied the allegations but it seems unlikely that he will be able to bounce back from this. His reputation and legacy have been greatly tarnished.
