When you notice that the skin of your fingertips are all peeling and flaky, then it means you may be having a vitamin B deficiency. B vitamins like biotin and niacin are essential for healthy skin. Niacin repairs skin by prevention of melanin formation and promotes the production of collagen. Niacin-rich foods are peanuts, fish, and mushrooms. Foods rich in biotin are avocados and tuna.

12Blue Fingertips

When you notice your fingertips turning from white to blue and again to red, it could signify Raynaud’s syndrome. The condition causes numbness and tingling and happens because of blood vessel spasm and reduced circulation. The actual cause is still unknown, however, medication by your doctor will help and so will wearing gloves. Avoid stress, smoking and exposure to very cold temperatures.

13Dark pigment streaks on nails

A dark pigmented streak across your nail bed is an immediate cause for concern and you should visit your doctor immediately. The mark could be a sign of early melanoma although this particular type of skin cancer is very rare. Whenever you go to a doctor, always make sure you remove nail polish from nails so that a thorough evaluation can be made.

14Brown spots on hands

Brown spots are due to aging and which are also liver spots that can be caused by sun UV exposure. It is most noticeable on drivers where hands on the steering wheel are always exposed o sunlight entering through the windshield. Always apply a good SPF sunscreen when venturing out or driving in the sun.
