Eva had often talked about how she would always be approached for playing only Cuban girls since she was Cuban-American, and how she felt stereotyped. She had once lamented that she would never be approached for a role, that was meant for Drew Barrymore. Though Hollywood is much more diverse now, a few years ago, this was not the case.
