Shelby’s life revolved around her first baby girl from the time she was born, and she would go to any lengths to protect her. But unfortunately, their happiness didn’t last long because a terrible tragedy struck Shelby’s mother’s house, where she was staying with the baby. A fire broke out on January 30th, just a few days after the baby’s birth.

Original- As the smoke and flames consumed mother and baby, Shelby tried desperately to save her little girl

The fire quickly engulfed the rooms, filling them with thick black smoke. Shelby realized there was no way out and that she had to act quickly. The encroaching flames and smoke were quickly consuming both mother and child as Shelby fought to save them both.

She tossed her baby out the second-floor window after strapping her into the car seat

After realizing that the flames were too strong and that they were trapped, Shelby decided to do the only thing she could to save her daughter. It was the ultimate sacrifice she would make as a mother. She quickly stripped her baby into her car seat and dropped her down from the second-floor window.

Shelby, however, didn’t make it out alive

Sadly, Shelby herself could not escape and was consumed by the smoke and tragically passed away. The firefighters who were working hard to control the flames were unfortunately too late to save Shelby.
