The Bizarre Body Builder Called the Russian Popeye May Have To Amputate His Arms, Warns Doctors

By Andrew Alpin, 19 December 2017

The addiction of social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook and the desperate urge to gain likes and followers all for a fast buck has led many foolish people to transform their bodies in the most bizarre way possible. Not all are successful and some end up paying a heavy price for it.

Remember Kirill Tereshin the Russian Popeye?

Take for example the Russian man Kirill Tereshin who in November did the crazy thing of injecting his arms with deadly bulking oil and developing 60 cm biceps. He is once again in the news and why?? Because his arms are about to fall off. The Russian Popeye may need to amputate his arms.

He injected synthol into his arms to look like a bizarre popeye

Kirril a former soldier in the Russian army did the most bizarre thing of injecting liters of synthol into his arms increasing them by 10 inches in 10 days. His arms began to bulge like Popeye and he also became known as the Popeye man.

It’s not what you think

His synthetic biceps increased to 60 cm. At first, he injected small amounts but wasn’t getting results. He then decided to inject large amounts and that gave him fevers of 40 degrees but he says ultimately he was fine or so he thought.

You see his muscles weren’t natural and as a result although he gained weight by a few kgs, his strength did not increase. After all, he didn’t really have any real muscle tissue, they have just been blown up.

The condition of his arms are severe warn doctors

But  Kirril Tereshin 21 from Pyatigorsk, Russia doesn’t even look concerned even though you see the condition of his arms. He has unusually large biceps but thin forearms and can hardly be called Popeye the sailor man who if you recall was more famous for his large bulging forearms.

The Russian Popeye may have  to amputate his arms after the controversial injections which were heavily criticized by experts on ther internet.  He is now having to suffer the dire consequences because in his own words “'bazooka arms are about to fall off'. His doctors have now told him that he is at high risk of paralysis and his arms may have to be amputated.

But he insists on continuing

Despite doctor’s warnings, he went ahead and pumped his arms with injections of a homemade concoction consisting of synthol, olive oil, lidocaine and benzyl alcohol. One wonders, where did he learn that or which idiot advised him to do so. As you can see his arms, especially his biceps are now discolored and looking red and purple.

This is another observation that proves how addicted these people are and will even go to any lengths for fame even if it involves something negative about themselves. In fact there now studies to prove that selfitis is an actual psychological condition established as a new age problem by psychiatrists. Kirril has been now warned that the risk of amputation is even graver than before.

He wants to be a world record body builder

Tereshin’s arms aren’t just discolored; they look like large balloons where his forearms look puny in comparison. His Biceps are at 23 inches and he had actually planned to continue till they reach 27 inches. That’s 68 cms. He had big ideas on being a world record bodybuilder, we’ll it seems he is either ignorant or foolhardy not knowing that to be a body builder, you literally need to build your body the natural way by pumping iron and not air and oil into your muscles.

The side effects of synthol enhancements for muscle building

Synthol is 85% oil, 7.5 % lidocaine and 7.5 % benzyl alchohol. Although it is a popular enhancement oil that has been used for years by bodybuilders, it is used responsibly by  many and only for occasions where the emphasis on body building and muscle growth is advocated more through regular workouts in the gym and healthy protein rich diets. What Kirill has done is nothing short of madness.

Synthol is misused can cause extensive nerve damage, pulmonary embellism, infections, sclerosing lipogranuloma, stroke and oil filled granuloma cysts in the muscles. In cases like Kirril, muscles start drooping under gravity because of poor development and surgical intervention becomes absolutely necessary.

Doctors say he eventually faces amputation

Not everyone has approved of Kirrils madness. Many experts criticized him heavily online where one netizen by the handle of “Glacier” said he should be sent to a psychiatric ward for treatment.

Professor Evgeny Lilin said that 'Not immediately but he very likely faces amputation in the future. 'One day abscesses will develop, then inflammation and he (will be at risk of) a stroke”. The Professor also added that since he has already injected the synthol into his arms, it will remain for at least 7 years in his muscles even if he stops the routine.

He plans to inject other parts of his body too.

Professor Lilin went on to say that Kiril has injected himself with 3 liters of synthol which was highly dangerous even though it pumped his biceps to 23 inches. If you think that is enough to stop Tereshin, that’s a big No!! Even though the Russian Popeye may have his arms amputated, he plans to carry on till he reaches 27 inches. After that he will start on his back and chest and shoulders.

Now that’s lunacy which will turn him into a social media freak. But everyone loves the Instagram freak shows don’t they?? Like the Human Ken Doll who is planning to turm himself into Barbie, You just have to read that.
