Tea Tree oil is a versatile essential oil used for several purpose such as keeping skin, hair and nails ultra healthy and shiny, As an  inexpensive oil, it has been medically proven to be safe for children and adults alike. Derived from a shrub called the Melaleuca in Australia, natives have known to use it for thousands of years as a balm to treat skin problems. Repeat the same process once or twice daily depending upon the nastiness of the gash till scabs form. This prevents fungus and bacteria from taking over. You can also mix a few drops of tea tree oil with lavender oil which would make the solution even more effective.

One study has interestingly discovered that Tea tree oil can keep the creepy crawlies or insects away. Yes it’s an effective insect repellent. When experimented over pasture cows, it was realized that 24 hrs after the oil had been applied to their skin they were blissfully free of the pesky insects. In fact, 61% less flies were found hovering over the farm animals.

In another test tube experiment, it was categorically proven that tea tree oil has more ability to repel or kill mosquitoes then DEET, which is the most common ingredient used in commercial repellent these days .

Although medical options are always available for this malady but some people prefer a more natural approach where tea tree oil would be the best option.

A study has proven that people who used this essential oil alone or with an antifungal medication for 6 months, 60% of them saw a partial or FULL resolution of the fungus. Take few drops of the tea tree oil and mix it with an equal amount of coconut oil and apply it to the affected area. How to make it

1 quarter cup extra virgin olive oil

10 drops tea tree oil

Mix well in a glass jar shut the lid and store in a cool dry place. Whenever you need to use it, take a cotton ball and dip in the mixture and use accordingly. Rinse your face with warm water soon after.

7Treats boils

Tea tree oil is excellent for boils as it is medically proven to treat staph infections that can be resistant to antibiotics. Just dab a cotton ball in diluted tea tree oil and almond oil or coconut oil and apply to the boil. Do this several times a day.
