Say what you want, the Obamas were a refined couple who came across not as two cold people reflecting no warmth but as a genuine homely couple whose public displays of affection were cute and awesome too. Michelle as adorable as always posted on her instagram a few pictures among which the bouquet of flowers stood out with a heartfelt thank you write-up from the former first lady. The flowers were given by Barack Obama and trust the former president to continue the ever blossoming romance he always shared with his wife. Perhaps they may be even happier that they have more to spend in each other’s company.

The Instagram feed shows the bouquet of lovely flowers with a note that read “Michelle.” She too shared the most beautiful and poignant thank you message to her husband and it is this acts that shows how much love there is between the two. In her message, Michelle also thanks her well-wishers for their birthday wishes.

One can’t really make out what’s on the card but then some things need to remain personal and special. It is signed “happy birthday, B.” so we know of course who that is. Obama has been one of the first presidents to be completely familiar with social media and so not to be outdone; he did a pre-emptive strike on Michelle. He too posted something on Instagram just before she got her flowers. That was in true Obama style.

On her birthday, Michelle shares another post regarding the upcoming Barack Obama presidential center which is the planned presidential library of Barack Obama. The center is going to be on the south side of Chicago in Jackson Park in the University of Chicago. The center will be overseen by the nonprofit barrack Obama foundation.

The south side is special to Michelle because that is the location where she shared a first date with Barack. It is also the area where her daughters were born. In her post she says

In fact, in case you didn’t know, there has also been a movie made titled “Southside with you” directed by Richard Tanne and portrays a young Barack and Michelle when they met on their first date. The film starred Tika Sumpter as Michelle and Parker Sawyers as the young future president. The film takes place in just one day when both were lawyers working for the same Chicago law firm as law associates. The film was released 2016.

It seems the former president has truly melted hearts in his birthday gift to Michelle Obama. This wasn’t the first time the president had surprised his wife with his loving displays of affection. On their 25th wedding anniversary, Obama surprised Michelle with a prerecorded video message even as she stood on stage at the occasion of the Pennsylvania Conference for Women in Philadelphia.
The message said, “The idea that you would put up with me for a quarter of a century is a remarkable testament to what a saintly, wonderful, patient person you are.”
