As a frequent flyer do you usually encounter single parents with kids on a plane, kids who keep dripping, crying incessantly to become unmanageable for the parent travelling with them? The reality check here is that the majority of fliers instead of helping will undoubtedly get irritated instead. Fortunately for this Arkansas mum, this was not to be so.
This mom with two kids from Arkansas was flying for the first time but her experience wasn’t as exciting as expected. It started out like a nightmare for her when her kids started to panic. Jessica Rudeen thought her entire Journey would be a hellish one trying to manage her kids Caroline 3 and Alexander who was only 4 months. Thankfully help came from an unexpected quarter.
Jessica Rudeen was flying alone with her two children from Arkansas to North Carolina on American Airlines with a stopover in the middle. Her biggest problem was that she didn’t feed Alexander as there was no time to.

Alexander soon started crying incessantly after they boarded the plane. Soon Caroline joined in by throwing a huge temper tantrum leaving Jessica helpless and distraught. Rudeen said “My 3 year old, who was excited before boarding the plane, lost her nerve and began screaming and kicking 'I want to get off the plane! I don't want to go!' I honestly thought we'd get kicked off the plane.”

Rudeen was trying her best to calm the kids down for fear of other passenger’s complaining and getting irritated when someone intervened. He co passenger next to her an old man instead of getting annoyed with the bawling kids did the unbelievable and kindest thing ever.

He took the baby from her and held him while Rudeen tried to calm down Caroline by forcing a seatbelt on her. The little girl soon got engrossed in her tablet and started a movie. The man then gave the baby back to Rudeen and started speaking to Caroline to distract her so Alexander could be fed.

Rudeen was extremely grateful for this man’s help. She even described on her Facebook page "With two kids losing their minds, I was desperately trying to calm the situation," she wrote in the Facebook post. "This man reached for the baby and held him while I forced a seatbelt on Caroline, got her tablet and started her movie. Once she was settled and relatively calmed, he distracted her so that I could feed Alexander."

Rudeen went on to describe how the man played with Caroline the entire trip to Charlotte. He helped her with coloring and then even joined her in watching a movie. He engaged her in conversation and showed her stuff outside the window. The man became Caroline’s best friend by the time the journey had ended.

Rudeen wrote I'm not sure if he caught the kiss she landed on his shoulder while they were looking out the window,” It was fortunate for Rudeen that the man was on the same connecting flight with her. He even walked them to the next flight for Wilmington, North Carolina after landing in Charlotte.

The man told Rudeen that she reminded him of his wife who had also experienced a similar incident with their two sons. At the time, it was a stranger who helped her and it seems this man was returning fate the same kind deed. The man also changed his seat so he could sit next to Rudeen on the next flight.

The next flight to Wilmington Carolina went smoothly for Rudeen as Caroline was engrossed with her new best friend. The stranger and Rudeen parted ways at Wilmington airport and she thanked him for what he had done. However, Rudeen isn’t one to forget a good deed and posted the when incident on Facebook which went viral.
Rudeen wanted to know the identity of the stranger and so through Facebook, she finally found out who he was. His name turned out to be Todd and he lived in Lenexa, Kansas. Rudeen also found that one of his sons studied at the University of Arkansas. Rudeen informed her followers “Update! I've been connected with his wife and hoping we can get together soon!" Rudeen added to her Facebook post.

Rudeen soon connected with her good Samaritan on social media and being the grateful person she I, she wrote “ I am blown away by God's hand in this because we could have been placed next to anyone, but we were seated next to one of the nicest men I have ever met in my life,". Here is Jessica and her happy family.
